The Rollins Building Supplies Midget BB team has started their season off to 5 wins and 1 tie. This past week they faced Gananoque back to to back ending in a tie of 2-2 last Saturday, goals scored by McCaw and Ellis and assisted by Boutilier and Morrison. The next day the Blues turned it around and scored twice short-handed, one goal by Aubertin and the other by Boutilier. Baker and McCaw scored as well ending the game 4-0 for the Blues giving goal tender Mattice his second shutout game of the season.
The team was back in action on Thursday night at home facing the Campbellford Colts. Goals scored by Morrison and Parkinson, assisted by Ellis and Morrison in the first period which left the Colts and Blues 2-2 until the Blues came out strong in the third period scoring two more goals by Huffman and Morrison, assisted by McKeown and Huffman. The Blues carries a strong defensive group of players consisting of Rose, C. Musclow, McKeown, Huffman, Baker, Shortt & Moore, with tender Cannons in net, the Blues won 4-2.
Back on the road Friday night for a late game in Lakefield with only 12 players on the bench and Mattice in net, the team won 6-1. Goals scored by Ellis (2), M. Musclow, C.Musclow, Lewis, and Parkinson. Assisted by Gordon, McKeown, M. Musclow, C. Musclow.
The team is heading to Ottawa this upcoming weekend, playing in the 6th Annual Capital Cup Tournament facing Parry Sound, Cumberland Jr. Grads, Casselman Embrun, and G.O.B. Blues.
