Stirling Blues U9 MD Extend Undefeated Streak with Dominant Weekend
The Stirling Blues U9 MD team continued their remarkable undefeated streak over the weekend, securing two decisive victories on home ice. Back in Stirling for the first time since January, the Blues faced off against the Tweed Hawks on Saturday afternoon. The young squad wasted no time asserting their dominance, skating to a commanding 12-0 victory.

The Blues' scoring effort was well-distributed, with contributions from Mitch Montgomery (2 goals, 1 assist), Jack Lyman (2 goals), Duncan Locke (4 goals, 2 assists), Olivia Fields (1 goal, 1 assist), Nolan Wilkinson (1 goal, 1 assist), Easton Sills (1 goal, 5 assists), Turner Pollock (1 goal, 1 assist), Blake Buxton (1 assist), Tyson Brown (2 assists), and Colton Jeffs (2 assists).

On Sunday, the Blues were back at work against a tougher opponent in the Frontenac Flyers. Once again, their aggressive style of play paid off, limiting the Flyers to just two shots on goal. The Blues maintained control throughout the game and clinched a 6-0 win.

Scoring against the Flyers came from Olivia Fields (1 goal), Mitch Montgomery (2 goals, 2 assists), Duncan Locke (1 goal, 1 assist), Turner Pollock (1 assist), and Owen Jenkins (1 goal, 2 assists).

Both goaltenders, Elliott Eady and Eli Gunning, continued their stellar performances, recording shutouts on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Their consistency in net has been a key factor in the team's defensive success this season.

With one league game remaining in the regular season, the Blues will host the Napanee Stars next Sunday at 1:30 p.m. This matchup will serve as their final tune-up before the EOMHL U9 Championship Weekend in Napanee, beginning on March 29.

As the season nears its conclusion, the Stirling Blues look to cap off their undefeated campaign with a strong finish and a shot at the championship title.
